SHR PROCEDURES

What exactly is SHR?

You will be pleased to learn that this form of permanent hair removal is not only painless, it is the safest option currently available on today’s market. Using the most up-to-date technology, this method proves timely and efficient when carried out by a trained professional.

How does it work?

In essence, SHR treatment is designed to cause long-lasting damage to target hair follicles. This in turn prevents the re-growth of the hair. By gently heating over the required area, the applicator used varies in temperature to ensure maximum effect. Released are short and gentle energy pulses that directly target the hair follicle whilst dissuading return.

SHR for Painless Hair Removal

SHR has been proven in clinical studies as the safest method of light based hair reduction for all skin types, including dark skin whereby melanin is exponentially more sensitive to the heat used in light based treatments.

SHR for Thread Veins & Rosacea

It is possible to treat thread veins and rosacea by shooting a controlled light pulse onto the affected area. The light pulse is absorbed in the blood and converted into heat. This causes a sudden heating of the capillary, which clots the blood and “welds” it shut. The body breaks down the coagulated blood and transports it away naturally. Clients will need multiple treatments.

Super fast and efficient, a S.H.R. (Super Hair Removal) treatment is concluded in a matter of minutes by a trained professional.

SHR for Active Acne

Treating acne with SHR technology is all about fighting the propioni bacteria that cause the inflammation and reducing the size of the sebaceous glands and the quantity of sebum they produce.  When porphyrins (naturally occurring molecules in the inflamed acne) absorb light, heat is produced and this photothermal process releases chemical substances that are able to selectively destroy the propioni bacterium. Clients will need multiple treatments to achieve the best results.

How long do Treatments take?

Depending on the size of the area to be treated, the time varies from 5 to 60 minutes and can be up to 3 x faster that traditional laser or IPL

How many Treatments are necessary?

6 treatments are usually necessary. Our qualified Aestheticians will be able to give you a clearer indication of how many treatments after your consultation.
